Topics are the basic building block of xml documents. Topics are divided into DITA-topic types:

• Map-Concept

• Map-Task

• Map-Fact (Reference)

• Map-Overview

Topics can be grouped into larger fragments with Map-Section and Map-Book or by using Map files.
